I started hunting and fishing at an early age and turned into a flyfishing junkie about 7 years ago after a Lake Michigan Mykiss pulled on my string. Things really have not been the same since. Now I have a small fortune in flyfishing and tying materials, from drift boats to bead heads, that would rival most fly shops. My wife says admitting you have problem is half the battle, whatever that means.

Anyway, I fit flyfishing in between running a family owned business, helping raise a young family, coaching soccer, and the honey do list. Needless to say the "My Type" is a rare commodity.

I have chased steelhead and salmon from New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Canada, and a lot of the rivers here in Michigan and have met some interesting addicts along the way, in fact, I had thought I had seen it all. But then I met Matt at his book signing last year, listening to to him talk about his home river and the critters that swim in it made me sign up for Supinski's Steelhead Water Seminar. The plethorea of knowledge Professor Matt serves up on his "on the water" tutorial takes your angling skills to a new plateau. His cliff notes on subjects such as fusion techniques and motion without movement will open your eyes to a hole new way of chasing your favorite quarry on your home waters.

I have been on a couple of dozen guided trips and have learned alot, each guide seems to bring something special to the table. Matt has his own table and it's STACKED!!! From the style of hooks each fly is tied on, to the recipes of his gourmet streamside lunch.

Think this is a cheezy plug? It's not its the real deal , and so is Matt. Call him - it's time to go to school.

P.S. Don't forget your notebook and apple.
